Learning and Developing Compassion in the Workplace

In the last couple of #CoachingConversations video blogs, we've been exploring the Great Resignation and Great Discontent. Statistics show that people are not feeling cared for by the leaders of their organizations. I think we have an amazing opportunity to recognize the deficit of compassion at the places we work and create a significant impact.

Empathy is feeling what others are feeling which comes in two forms: affective and cognitive. Meanwhile, compassion is showing care and concern for what others are feeling, AND most importantly, it's doing something about it.

What if we learned the capacity to be compassionate? What if we showed it in our energy and interactions with our people? What if we learned how to hire for it? Imagine what would happen in our cultures.
