Instead of an Exit Interview, Conduct a Stay Interview

Labor shortages are showing up in many sectors including education, hospitality, and manufacturing of non-durable goods. According to the Department of Labor, over 11 million people in the United States have left their jobs since April.

In this episode of #CoachingConversations with Sherri, I explore why this "Great Resignation" is happening and progressive, proactive practices to incorporate into your strategies. More specifically, I discuss why leaders should implement consistent and transparent stay interviews instead of exit interviews.

In what ways are your organizations anticipating possible challenges that lie ahead rather than responding to past events? Are you listening for both lagging and leading indicators from all levels of your team to attract, onboard, and retain talent? I'd love to hear from you about what you are learning as you implement new approaches to develop and cultivate your teams.
